SUNdaySONday Revelation:

This Sunday morning I sit in church distracted...It has been an eventful morning beginning early A.M. all Hallow's Eve. I start@12AM clothed in costume as a celebrity falling to pieces.of.ME. (Britn.i. Spears) post pepsi commercials, pre head-shave! If the following was any glimpse into the life of a celeb, I wish to remain a BIG <*)))>< in  SMALL pond, Perr.i...no need for FAME & MISFORTUNE...

As continued from Part III: my buddies and I are driving a new friend home after a long night...only to be passed in two lane traffic while merging into 1, at high speeds from drunken drivers! Also, guilty for driving at accelerated speeds I am unaware of a horrific accident fast approaching, a top a small Tallahassee HILL & in a matter of seconds, HaultSPEED from 40+ to ZERO safe gaurding all passengers from car ejection, injury, and or potentially death...Astounded in the front seat, the girls attempt to remain calm dialing 911, the boys rush to evaluate the scene of the accident & offer help before emergency vehichles arrive @ the scene. My heart breaks reporting a Designated Driver (FSU Senior, Samuel Brooks Rogers) lost his life to an intoxicated driver, this morning...

Reality & re-evaluation questions: where I am headed and how I am going to get there? Brooks' life is not lost in vain! I will never forget this experience: how close our car was to becoming a part of this accident, the trauma -- the lights and sirens ring vivid in memory, as do the sovereign stricken faces of those partaking in the devastation. I am forever changed. Love & prayers to all families, friends, & community who grieve and suffer loss in this most tragic accident :(

Hours later: The church seems restless. Perhaps it was just me on edge...I'd barely slept, indulged in 3 cups of coffee, driven an hour home, took not 1 but 2 cell phones into church making certain everything @ my fav boutique would run smoothly. It did not. Children in church continue to misbehave, adults rustle papers...The temperature (which is always COLD, was abnormally WARM) Every piece of me wants to SCREAM BE STILL!!! God is HERE & PRESENT, Calling for Attention! I excuse myself for a 5 min breather outside, converse on the cellular with my co-workers, + CC mentor sweet Carr.i. Leigh, gain a greater sense of PEACE & prepare my mind for worship...

SkinnyMini Thought: things are never going to go just as planned or practiced...BREATHE, it is all going to be OK!

I remain in the back of the church for the duration of the sermon (I do not want to distract anyone else more than I already had...) At the conclusion, I re-join my beloved fam to sing in unison: Take My Life and Let it BE! The preacher bids us adieu and the Chancel Choir chimes in: God Be With you Til We Meet Again...& the 3 of us, Randi.Nonni&ME, travel home...Distraught and uncomfortable in my own surroundings I attempt normal Sunday Scheduling procedures nowhere else other than my CAR --and as I sit in the circular drive, I feel a call to go back to the church. Why Not? It is not unusual for me to spend time in thought&reflection in a beautiful prayer garden on Holy Ground + in weeks prior a beloved famil.i. friend, Suz.i., shares with the FPC congregation her concern for "lighting on the stained glass..." to which the Rev.i. replies, "perhaps Y.O.U. should drive each night to make certain it is being lit properly!" I was curious -- I'd never slowed down enough to notice...I reverse and drive back to the church.

I walk barefoot into the garden, sit for a moment, thank GOD for protecting ME early that morning, petition forgiveness, catch chills from a cool breeze, (The Spirit always brings goose bumps to a BELIEVER) & determine no matter how silly it will look should the Church Youth Group catch me barefoot in PJ's, gazing @ the stain glass -- it simply has to be done. I'd yet to fully admire each detail before this moment AND this is what I SEE:

Proverbs 31:22-27
She makes coverings for her bed;
   she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
²³ Her husband is respected at the city gate,  (Her Who?!? Does He Exist?)
   where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
²⁴ She makes linen garments and sells them,
   and supplies the merchants with sashes.
²⁵ She is clothed with strength and dignity;
   she can laugh at the days to come.
²⁶ She speaks with wisdom,
   and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
²⁷ She watches over the affairs of her household
   and does not eat the bread of idleness.

A young girl & her 2 friends catch a glimpse of JESUS, they want to be near Him but are afraid to go closer...She knows He is Master, offering Forgiveness to all those who repent...She brings a gift of flowers (4in#), adoration & praise. She feels the Spirit calling and acknowledges there is Definite Purpose for her life. She will no longer eat the bread of idleness...



She thanks the SON for her older SISTER TiTi, mentor, scholar, beloved wife & mother, friend in faith...and knows that if anyone could persuade it would be HER! Proverbs 25:15 "through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone." She is convinced the Spirit intercedes on her behalf and a request is made: Let Her Live, & Let Her Love...The Gurns are Our Children, born to witness to a lost world. When the Time is Perfect, they will join the Father, Son & Spirit in Heaven & in the Communion of Saints meet a BabyBrother never Born to this world...
Proverbs7:⁴ Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” 

She offers thanksgiving for her middlechild soul~sister, Ashi & KBaby/Kandi alike...
She prays for the future, for full life, love and happiness. She longs for the day a greater PLAN will be revealed but commits to living each moment as if it's the last -- appreciating a time for youth. She recalls laughter as little girls, and understands her life is intertwined and forever enriched in Faith, Family & Friends.

  She takes a moment to appreciate each individual glass as it own, marvelous in beauty, but decides the picture is greater and more magnificent as 3 in ONE, Whole & Complete...She thanks the Father for the Trinity, and the Cross which offers a path to Life Long Freedom&Forgiveness through Ultimate Sacrifice. She thanks the Father for a place of Free Worship, and a loving Family in FPC -- She is the woman she is today because of the people like Y.O.U...She is thankful to forever remain a CHILD of GOD, the only title worth making FAMOUS! Finally, she seeks a life filled in SPIRIT & Truth and commits her body as an instrument to God's Will.

Chapter 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
